Because these three days are just us driving from Florida to home, I decided to combine them all into one post, because it’s just a lot of driving.
Day 9
Sadly, this is the day we packed up to leave. š We had a late check out that day – at 11:00 am. We had planned to leave by then, worst case scenario, and leave by 9:00 a.m, best case scenario, because we had to pack and clean up the condo. We, uh, woke up at nine😳… We ended up leaving the condo at 11:00 and headed straight up to Sarasota to visit GUB (Great Uncle Bill) and his friend, Sandy. It took us about two hours to get there, and we spent a little over two hours there talking to them and just visiting. Ā Then we got back into the car to drive home. We stayed that night in a Home2 hotel. It was so cool! It was a pretty new hotel and very nice, we LOVED it!
Day 10
We drove all day making it from Florida to Tennessee. (Unfortunately since were driving, thisĀ post might notĀ be very interesting.) We stopped at a store called Magnolia Plantation and bought a lot of pecan candy because they tasted good and we hadn’t eaten enough junk on the trip already.😏At the hotel, some friends of Elie’s and mine, who had moved to Tennessee, came over to visit with us. We hadn’t seen them in a long time, so we spent a long time laughing and talking with them. I think we actually stayed talking with them till around 10:00. Then, we said goodbye and headed to bed.

It poured through part of the trip. It rained almost as hard as when we were at Animal Kingdom in 2016 (see other travel posts).

One of my favorite books is the Mysterious Benedict Society. I was bored (because there is only so much you can do on a road trip!), so I read it.
Day 11
We had stayed at Drury Hotel last night, and it was really nice. It had a great breakfast, as well. We left around 9:40 (a record for us!) to finish the last leg of our journey home. I mean we really only drove from Tennessee to home, did homework, and listenedĀ to the Pineapple Guy. Sorry, I don’t have pictures for today.
